Bravo personality Kelly Bensimon recently opened up about her shocking weight loss secret that allowed her to drop 10 pounds ahead of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy trip to St. Barts. What method did she use for losing weight exactly? Keep reading for the juicy secret!

In preparation for the upcoming Bravo series Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, Kelly Bensimon revealed in an interview with The Daily Mail Online that she was able to drop 10 pounds in just a month. And, she used a pretty shocking method to do it.

She said as she opened up about shedding the weight: “I’m 55 – my body started to change after the menopause… I have lost nine inches from working out and dieting: I started out at 145Ib now I’m 135Ib.”

She, however, clarified that she didn’t believe it was just diet and exercise that was to thank for shedding ten pounds in a month. She admitted the real kicker that helped her lose the weight was all the exercise she was getting in the bedroom.

Turns out, she was spending A LOT of time in the sheets and it was ultimately helping her get bikini ready as she prepared to hit the Caribbean with her co-stars Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Kristen Taekman for a week of filming.

I go to Equinox to do Dance Body and Soul Cycle, my body is in the shape it is because I do so many different sports. I also have a lot of s*x because that’s a cardio.

Rolling in the sheets, however, is only part of the equation. As she continued to explain in the interview, making the right food choices is also important.

She Urges People Not To Go Hungry

Kelly Bensimon proceeded to clarify that too many people associate losing weight with starving themselves and she just doesn’t believe that’s the right way to do it.

I was making salads with lots of salad dressing before but now, when I go to Sweetgreen, I just use a little olive oil because you don’t realize how much calories are in dressing.

The Bravo personality continued to explain she feels like she eats more food than ever before. It is just about the choices she makes with what type of food she is eating that allowed her to drop ten pounds in a month.

She explained: “Don’t eat banana cake, instead eat a croissant: There’s 600 calories in a slice of banana cake but people think it’s healthy and less than 300 in a croissant.”
