Batman and Doctor Who star Colin McFarlane diagnosed with cancer
According to BBC News, Colin McFarlane told BBC Breakfast first that he had recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He, however, is happy to report that his prognosis is extremely positive. In fact, he doesn’t even require any treatment because of how early doctors caught the cancer.
While revealing news of his diagnosis, the actor had some advice for men (especially men of color). The actor explained that too many men lose their lives to prostate cancer because of ignorance. Colin McFarlane explained the test for prostate cancer does NOT require a rectal examination. Instead, a doctor can test for prostate cancer with a simple blood test. Unfortunately, fearing a rectal examination, however, most men refuse to go to the doctor and get tested.
