Kristen Doute Vindicated as Scandoval Unearths Tom Sandoval’s True Colors

Former Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute is finding herself “vindicated” in the wake of the infamous Scandoval as Tom Sandoval’s true nature is coming to light.

To get to the heart of the whole scandal, you have to go back to 2014.

Tom Sandoval Splits with Kristen Doute to Date Ariana Madix

During the 2014 reunion episode for Season 2 of Vanderpump Rules, Sandoval revealed that he was dating Ariana Madix. There’s just one problem though – their relationship overlapped with his relationship with Kristen Doute.

When Madix and Sandoval were openly together in 2015, Doute famously dropped the “Miami girl” scandal. Doute told Madix that Sandoval had cheated on Madix while in Miami, but Sandoval denied it. Madix believed him. She even laughed at the whole thing. Sandoval said of the accusations while in confessional, “Once again, Kristen does something totally absurd to try to break me and Ariana up and it just brings me and Ariana closer together. Now, because of Kristen, I am having to acknowledge this f**king psycho.”

Doute even paid the alleged “Miami girl” to fly to California to confront Sandoval, but the newly minted Madix and Sandoval couple stayed strong and held on for another 8 years. Now, though, it seems clear that the Miami girl scandal was real, and whatever her motives were, Doute could have saved Madix 8 additional years of heartache, if she could have convinced Madix of the truth.

Doute wasn’t completely innocent herself, however; she cheated on Sandoval twice with his bestie and their co-star, Jax Taylor. But Sandoval’s shady behavior while dating Doute is relevant for how things later went down with Madix. Madix and Sandoval continued their relationship from 2014 through 2023, and they seemed to be doing well enough. At least, on the surface. Because behind closed doors, Sandoval was cheating on Madix with co-star Raquel Leviss, who joined the show in 2016.

In early March 2023, news broke that Sandoval and Leviss were engaged in a scandalous affair, later aptly dubbed Scandoval. The two had been going behind Madix’s back for at least seven months. Madix was understandably devastated when it all came to light.

But the revelations about Sandoval’s cheating, and the way he treated Madix after news broke of the affair, circled back to Doute. And shed some light on how he treated her when they broke up.

Ariana Appears on ‘The Good Guys’ and Dishes About How She’s Been ‘Vindicated’

Doute recently appeared on the “Good Guys” podcast, and she opened up about how she feels just a little bit vindicated now that people can see Sandoval’s true colors.

When everything went down between Doute and Sandoval, people were quick to point the finger and call her “crazy.” But now they can see that this is a pattern with Sandoval. Even Madix pointed to the breakup with Doute as having similarities, suggesting that Doute is not as crazy as everyone seemed to think.

On Watch What Happens Live, Doute even pointed to language that Sandoval used in both breakups, including, “magnetic;” “we kissed;” “the sunrise;” “best friend;” she told host Andy Cohen, “It was verbatim, the same thing.”

At that time, she said that she didn’t feel vindicated – but that has clearly changed.

During the podcast, Doute explains, “I don’t feel vindicated in like that ‘Tom was finally caught and now she’s hurting.’ Like, that whole situation just sucks a**.”

However, Doute adds, “But, yes, I absolutely feel vindicated, especially now that the Miami girl stuff has come out.” People treated Doute “like I was this crazy liar and I was, you know, like, no. Now you guys can see, especially when Ariana is now coming out saying there were parallels. Like, ‘you said all these things about me when you broke up with Kristen; it’s the same sh** you’re saying about Raquel now that you and I have broken up.’ They’re coming out of her mouth.”

Doute concludes, “So, yes. Now I feel f**king vindicated.”

Let’s face it, Doute has the right to feel vindicated. She’s been calling out Sandoval’s bad behavior since before it was popular.
