Who is Chad Gallagher from Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets? He made an appearance in the new Amazon Prime Video docuseries, but viewers may not be familiar with him. Who is Chad Gallagher from Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets?
He founded Legacy Consulting and is still the owner of the company to this day. He is Jim Bob Duggar‘s manager, but he has worked for a variety of other clients over the years. His typical gigs include public relations and advising. In some cases, he’s done political work. One of his most high-profile clients is Mike Huckabee, Arkansas’ former governor.

In 1998, when Chad was just 22 years old, he was elected the youngest mayor in the country. He was the mayor of DeQueen, Arkansas but didn’t serve another term. From there, he entered the world of advising.
What does he have to do with the Duggars?
In 2015, amid Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald sat down for an interview with Megyn Kelly. In Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, Jill and her husband Derick Dillard revealed Chad Gallagher’s role in this.
Jill explained, “Chad worked with Mike Huckabee.” Then, Derick added, “[Gallagher] was an advocate to the extent that represents Jim Bob’s goal financially. So Chad was the one who was setting up the Megyn Kelly [interview] to try and like get it to where TLC would be cool with like moving forward with the show.”
Jill went on to say that she wishes she had not done that interview.
To this day, Chad Gallagher continues to represent the Duggar family. In the docuseries, text appeared on the screen, which read:
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar stated, through their representative, Chad Gallagher, that they ‘love each of their children tremendously and always desire each live their God-designed lives to the fullest.’ They otherwise declined to comment for this series.
Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball went into detail about the role Chad has within the Duggar family. She pointed ot that he’s still representing them and claimed, “This means all the kids making content that is shared on the Duggar website are under Jim Bob’s control. Gallagher is in charge of all content they publish. Jim Bob still has authority.”
