Jill Dillard Updates On Relationship With Parents After Docuseries
Former Counting On star Jill Dillard is updating fans on her relationship with her parents after the premiere of the docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. Fans assumed the docuseries and Jill’s decision to speak out would impact her relationship with her parents. In addition, she recently announced her tell-all book, Counting the Cost. Finally, she’s dropping a little detail about where she stands with her parents today.

Recently, Jill has invited fans along on a very intimate journey. This weekend, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets debuted on Amazon Prime Video. The docuseries exposes the Duggar family’s beliefs and their religion, the IBLP (Institute in Basic Life Principles). In the series, Jill shared her perspective on her family and the problems they faced with TLC, as well as her experience in the IBLP. She also recently revealed that she wrote a memoir called Counting the Cost, which is expected to be a tell-all book.
On Instagram this weekend, Jill Dillard shared a new post about courage and making it through the “toughest storms.” In the gorgeous photo, the Duggar daughter stood in the water while at the beach. In her caption, she wrote, “Life a journey. Sometimes courage is built in the toughest storms.”
She also promoted her new book in the post.

Where does she stand with her parents amid the docuseries?
In the comments section of Jill’s new post, a fan praised her for doing such a “great job on the documentary.” They pointed out that she didn’t seem to “dishonor” her parents or give them a bad name. They added that she only shared the facts about her upbringing.
In response, Jill Dillard said, “Thank you. I love my parents.” Despite her decision to speak out about the IBLP and the harmful parts of the religion, she still seems to be on decent terms with her parents.
However, Jill’s comment only reveals how she feels. She didn’t say what her parents think of her or if they are on speaking terms at this point.
Fans are curious to know more about the Duggar family’s dynamic and relationships amid the docuseries and Jill’s tell-all book. Hopefully, more will come to light in the near future.
