When Is Conor McGregor Vs. Michael Chandler UFC Fight?
The new season of The Ultimate Fighter is here and it is Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler. Fans are now wondering when the big UFC fight between these two coaches will go down.
Ultimate Fighter Season 31 Drama
This season of The Ultimate Fighter has just started, but the drama is already happening. It turns out that Conor McGregor was able to keep two fighters off the show because he brought his own fighters with him. Conor allegedly insisted that they be on the show, which meant a change of cast right before they were supposed to start filming.
For some reason, Conor also didn’t show up to the weigh-ins for his fighters. Chandler made it clear that he thought this was odd and that he should have been there.
This is the first time around that the show has aired on ESPN. This could mean that it will be a huge season for the show, but Dana is waiting to see the actual numbers before he just guesses.
Where Are Conor McGregor And Michael Chandler Fighting?
Now fans want to know when Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler’s big UFC fight will be and where it will take place. The Ultimate Fighter Season 31 is taking place in Las Vegas, so you can assume that the fight will be there, but so far that hasn’t been announced. Dana shared saying, “People were asking me earlier about the Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler fight and [wondering] where it’s going to be. We don’t know yet, we’re kind of working that out. When you look at a fight of that magnitude, you have to look at Madison Square Garden, obviously Vegas — which we could do the stadium there, or T-Mobile Arena — [AT&T] Stadium, or you could do a massive stadium in London.”
When Can Fans Expect This Fight?
UFC President Dana White shared an update on when this fight is expected to happen. There isn’t an actual date for it just yet. Dana shared saying, “I don’t have a date, but I’m obviously shooting for the end of this year.” Obviously, it has to be after this season of the show is over.
Dana shared that they talked about Conor for this season and it just worked out that the timing was perfect for him to do it. During filming, these two have tension between each other, but Dana shared that they had a level of respect for each other so things went pretty well. It does turn out that there were a few times that they got into it, though. As he explained, the coaches get very invested in their guys which is part of what makes this show so great.
