‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Demand Ken Jennings After Awkward Mayim Return

Jeopardy! fans are demanding Ken Jennings after an extremely awkward Mayim Bialik return. The two hosts have been taking turns for this season. Mayim also hosted Celebrity Jeopardy! for a series of weeks. However, it seems that her time as the host of the main show is actually turning fans away. Read on for more details.

Jeopardy! Fans Demand Ken Jennings After Awkward Mayim Return

It has not been an easy transition for Jeopardy! viewers since Alex Trebek passed away. His spot was eventually filled by both former contestant Ken Jennings and actress Mayim Bialik. Mayim is not just an actress though. She is actually quite smart and holds a Ph.D. from UCLA. So, it makes sense why she would have been chosen to co-host the long-running game show. Unfortunately, these two have not had the easiest time. They have been called out for allowing answers written in chicken scratch to be accepted. Plus, the show films a lot of episodes in a short period of time. Therefore, viewers felt they were watching reruns due to the dated questions and answers.

Yet, it seems that fans are much happier when Ken Jennings is hosting Jeopardy! rather than Mayim Bialik. According to Meaww, Mayim is back to host after the Masters competition. Despite the fact that the contestants are consistent with bringing a competitive spirit to the game, Mayim is lacking. As per usual, viewers decided to head to Twitter to express their frustration with Mayim and hoped that production would hear their cries. “Mayim’s tendency to pause when confirming the correct answer drives me nuts,” one viewer tweeted.

A good example of why Mayim sucks as a #jeopardy host: her not taking the time to simply say “it’s actually Benedick with a k, not Benedict” and showing some compassion for how close and unlucky he was on this one. Another added: “Mayim Bialik is an amazing actress and an actual genius who doesn’t just play one on TV. A lovely woman all around. That being said, she’s an absolutely awful #Jeopardy host.” Finally, one person was particularly blunt: “Who in the world thought that Mayim Bialik would be a good host? I’m sorry but she’s awful.” It seems that viewers have a slew of problems with her and would much rather Ken Jennings when it comes down to it.

Not The First Time

Back in February, Jeopardy! fans were getting tired of Mayim Bialik and a particular habit. It is the same as now- they think she pauses way too much which ends up slowing the game down. Maybe if this was addressed and rectified, viewers would be happier with her as a host. Or, they would at least be able to tolerate her far more than they can now.
