Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo‘ Thompson is getting real about mental health and her struggles with it. She always puts on a silly and fun front, especially when it comes to her family. Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson Gets Real About Mental Health

It is no secret that Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson had an interesting upbringing. She was a young pageant girl who had her life on display for the world to see. Then, her mother, Mama June underwent a dramatic transformation once she left Alana’s father, Sugar Bear. June became a completely different person physically which was shown on a new reality show, Mama June: From Not To Hot. Unfortunately, she ended up meeting Geno Doak and went down a dark and dangerous path. It led her to substance abuse and eventually, Alana went to live with her older sister, Pumpkin.

In April 2022, Pumpkin was granted sole custody of Alana but it came with a fight. Mama June did not think she should have to pay child support. She ended up only having to pay $800/month which Pumpkin deems is not nearly enough to support a teenager. There was a lot of strain in the family but Alana just graduated from high school. To add to that, she is getting ready to head off to college. Yet, she did share how rough her life has been in a new TikTok according to yahoo!

I was in really bad deep depression throughout those years and honestly didn’t know what to do but today I look at myself and I realize that I’m actually at peace with my life right now, I’m so happy I can literally say that I graduated high school with a 3.0 & in aug I will be going to my dream college to be a neonatal nurse (that I got accepted into with a $21,000 scholarship) and God I’m so proud of myself 🥹🥹 (im not crying you are) ##honeybooboo##fyp##2023##trending##senior##graduation ♬ original sound – Joey Kidney

Not only did Honey Boo Boo graduate with a 3.0 but she had more to share. She will be going to Regis University on a 21K scholarship which is huge for her. Alana concluded her post with this: “God I’m so proud of myself 🥹🥹 (im not crying you are).” She really should be immensely proud of herself. After all that she went through with her mother and trying to establish stability, it would be easy for her to fall off track.

Now, she and her mother have reconnected and her mother is returning to Georgia with her husband, Justin Stroud. Luckily, Alana seems to know what she wants and hopefully, she will achieve all of that and more.
