‘Saved By The Bell’ & ‘General Hospital’: Gerald Castillo Dead At 90
Tragic breaking news for fans of Saved by the Bell and General Hospital as screen and stage actor Gerald Castillo has been confirmed dead at the age of 90. Known for his roles in several major TV shows including General Hospital, Saved by the Bell, Hill Street Blues, M*A*S*H, and Dallas, fans are gutted to learn this incredibly talented actor passed away earlier this month.
According to multiple reports, Gerald Castillo passed away in the comfort of his own home in Houston on May 4th. Per Variety, news of his death is just now being made public by his loved ones. His wife of nearly four decades, Dayna Quinn-Castillo, is who first broke the news of his passing.

Gerald Castillo Dead At 90
Outside of confirming he passed away, no additional information about how the actor died has been made public. Given his age, many of his fans assume he may have simply passed away from natural causes due to old age.
At the time of his passing, he had 45 acting credits on his resume. Perhaps his most notable was playing the role of A.C. Slater’s father, Major Slater in Saved By The Bell from 1989 to 1992.
Other notable roles on his resume include Det. Michael Benedict in 1987 on Hill Street Blues, Dr. Herrara on Knots Landing in 1990, and Judge Davis Wagner on General Hospital from 1992 to 1994.
