Chase Chrisley Pained With His Parents Todd & Julie Behind Bars
For Chase Chrisley, there is no greater pain than that which he feels with the knowledge that his mother and father (Todd and Julie) are suffering behind bars for the next 19 years. As fans know, his father Todd is currently behind bars serving a 12-year sentence at the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida. Chase’s mother Julie is currently behind bars serving a seven-year sentence at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Unfortunately, because Chase Chrisley’s parents are celebrities, some fans suspect they are living a relatively cushy life behind bars in a country club-style setting. During a recent appearance on a podcast called Chasin’ Birdies, Chase told all that his parents were definitely NOT in anything even remotely close to a country club. And, it hurt him to think about the living situation his parents currently endured.
Chase Chrisley pained by his parents’ current situation
Todd and Julie Chrisley’s son explained that the family NEVER misses a weekend of visiting their parents behind bars despite how heartbreaking the situation is. He clarified that Savannah will take Chloe and Grayson to see one parent each weekend, and he will make the trip to see the other parent. This way both of their parents get a visitor each week. Chase, however, fessed up that it was a “tough” and “heartbreaking” situation for everyone involved.
But it’s tough, man. I mean, our family loves really, really hard, so when you love somebody as much as we love each other, it’s definitely very difficult to see your loved ones in a situation like that.
Chase admits the situation opened up his eyes and Savannah’s eyes to how broken the system is. He did acknowledge that the system has been broken for a while. They, however, are doing what they can to help.
He continued: “That’s what my sister and I are kind of working on, is the prison reform and trying to help people with their re-entry whenever they get out, help them find jobs, give them some stability. But yeah, man it’s tough seeing them In there.”
He talks of black mold and no air conditioning
Now, Savannah Chrisley has previously blasted the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky for treating her mother worse than a dog by locking her away in a facility with no air. Chase Chrisley is now doubling down on these accusations. He, however, adds that his mother is not only uncomfortable. But, she’s being exposed to black mold.
He continued to open up: “Their conditions are just so s—ty, too. Like, everybody acts like my dad’s in some country club and that’s not the case at all.”
Chase Chrisley and his siblings are doing the best they can to adjust to life without Todd and Julie. But, it is hard for them to see their parents behind bars and to see their family name get dragged through the mud daily by fan and media outlets.
