‘ABC 7’ Anchor Ken Rosato’s Vulgar Career-Ending Remark Leaked
It was just 48 hours ago when news broke that longtime anchor for Eyewitness News This Morning on WABC 7 out of New York, Ken Rosato was “immediately terminated” for an “off-color” remark. ABC News, however, was being very cagey with the details and whatever controversial and inappropriate statement he made was seemingly under a lock and key.
For the most part, it appeared as if the circle of people who knew what vulgar remark Ken Rosato said that ended up being career-ending for him was pretty small. There, however, were some whispers his remark was related to race. A representative of the news anchor, however, shut the rumors down insisting that Ken would NEVER make a racist comment. Here was the statement his rep issued at the time:
Being fired for any racial slur is 100 percent inaccurate and untrue. Ken Rosato had a benchmark of 20 years at WABC of supporting all equality.”
So, what was it that ABC 7’s longtime news anchor Ken Rosato said while off-air and on-mic that resulted in his immediate termination? According to Page Six, an insider has leaked shocking details on what caused Ken Rosato to get fired.

ABC 7 Anchor Ken Rosato’s Vulgar Career-Ending Remark Leaked
Speaking to Page Six, an insider claims Ken Rosato made a crass statement while referring to his co-anchor, Shirleen Allicot. Now, as previously reported, Ken was NOT on air when the shocking statement was made. The microphone, however, was still on and it ended up picking up the derogatory statement he made about his co-anchor.
Per the insider, Ken Rosato referred to his co-anchor as a “c*nt.”
What do you have to say to have 20 years service thrown away immediately? @ABC7NY @ABC @KenRosatoABC7 #kenrosato

Multiple outlets have reached out to ABC News for a statement on the incident. Unfortunately, the network responded simply with “no comment.”
Page Six also attempted to reach out to Ken Rosato’s rep again. While is rep was ready to deny that he did not make a racist comment, his rep was unwilling to confirm or deny that Ken called his co-anchor a “c*nt.” The fact that the rep is not denying it as with the previous rumors has viewers assuming this must’ve been the remark he made.
Y’all keeping it real hush 🤐 what exactly did Ken Rosato say @ABC @ABC7 👀 the people want answers

A separate source speaking to The Sun doubled down on the allegation noting that Ken Rosato was let go because he used “the C word” to refer to one of his co-workers.

Ken should not be fired, especially “immediately fired” for that comment. I get that it was an ugly comment but it was not racist or violent and he should be given an opportunity to apologize or given a suspension at best. He’s not a new guy- his stellar 20 plus years should mean something. #KenRosadoFan
Seems like a setup. His comment was heard over a hot mic and someone just happened to report it, and he just happened to get fired immediately…ummm. Couldn’t he get reprimanded instead of terminated?
