‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Breaks Silence About Drugs & Sex At ABC?
Long-running ABC medical drama Grey’s Anatomy has always tackled controversial storylines. But were there really wild drug and sex parties going on after the cameras stopped rolling?
Isaiah Washington hasn’t been an active part of the Grey’s Anatomy cast since 2007. He played Dr. Preston Burke during the show’s earliest seasons. However, the actor still has plenty of memories from his days on sent.
More recently, the 59-year-old has made strange claims about the show — especially what went on behind the scenes. At the beginning of May, Washington made some pretty heavy claims against the series. Keep reading to see what he had to say.
Isaiah Washington claims there was depravity behind the scenes of Grey’s Anatomy
Grey’s Anatomy has always heavily featured adult situations and steamy elevator hook-ups. But did the cast keep going once filming was done for the day?
According to Isaiah Washington, it seems like that might have been the case.
On the afternoon of May 3, 2023, Washington insinuated on Twitter that there was “rampant alcohol and drug” usage by the cast of Grey’s Anatomy. On top of that, the cast also allegedly took part in swingers’ parties.
Washington said he never took part and stayed clean while he was on the show. He also claims he turned down “after hours hot tub invites” because he was afraid of losing his wife.
Hmmm…I wonder if I should tweet about the rampant alcohol and drugs used amongst my fellow cast mates and Producers of Grey’s Anatomy and all of the swingers parties that took place? I remained clean for 3 years and declined the after hours hot tub invites, because I was… pic.twitter.com/Kt0jLdwOBW

Needless to say, Isaiah Washington’s followers were incredibly curious about the situation and asked for more information. He didn’t name any of the actors involved in the allegation but did discuss how a producer reportedly broke into another actor’s apartment to wake him out of a drunken stupor.
Washington seemed incredibly perturbed by the situation and the tardiness too.
“Allegedly this happened multiple times. I was never late to work. NEVER,” the former Grey’s actor tweeted.
Hmmm…I wonder if I should post about how Producer Rob Corn told me that he had to break into the apartment to wake up one of my former cast mates, because he would get so drunk that he couldn’t get to the set of Grey’s Anatomy. Allegedly this happened multiple times. I was never…

What happened to Isaiah Washington after leaving the show?
Grey’s Anatomy has certainly grown and changed over the years. This past season, even Meredith Grey herself departed the series after 19 seasons.
But one thing that hasn’t necessarily changed is Isaiah Washington’s issues with the series and his former castmates. In the past, he’s slammed former Grey’s actress Katherine Heigl for criticizing him.
Washington was also fired from Grey’s Anatomy after allegedly using a homophobic slur against his former costar, T.R. Knight.
However, he’s managed to keep busy with other projects and adamantly supported Donald Trump during the 2020 election. He even appeared as himself in the political documentary, Trump Card.

Washington also appeared in the Christian film, God’s Not Dead: We the People. He’s also had a handful of smaller television roles over the last few years.
Hopefully, his time on these sets was not quite as chaotic as he claimed his time on Grey’s was.
