Now, they’re under fire yet again because fans think they are contradicting themselves in a big way.

On Reddit, a fan brought something to other viewers’ attention. They talked about Alex Johnston going ziplining and then explained the major contradiction they noticed in this situation. They said:
“It’s incredible to me how Amber and Trnt force Alex to do things he doesn’t want to do yet no one shamed Trent when he refused to go parasailing. Double standard anyone?”
One 7 Little Johnstons viewer argued that parents need to encourage them to do these kinds of things. But it seems like the original poster sees this situation quite differently.
Fans have also previously discussed the parents’ double standards when it comes to how they raise their sons and daughters. Viewers have mentioned the fact that Alex Johnston has traveled solo to see his girlfriend out of state. But the family’s followers are doubtful that Anna would be allowed to do the same thing.
