Fans Rail Against Pre-Taped ‘Live With Kelly And Mark’ Episodes
Live with Kelly and Mark is still finding its stride since Mark Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest. Although many viewers are willing to give the format a chance, some aren’t as happy with this new direction.
In particular, some viewers have been disgruntled about pre-taped episodes of Live. They feel that prerecording episodes of the daytime talk show defeats the spirit of the show in the first place.
However, an insider reports that this trend is likely going to continue — whether viewers like it or not.
Live with Kelly and Mark fans say “no” to pre-taped episodes
Fans fall in love with daytime talk shows for a wide variety of reasons. The live format is one thing that makes Live with Kelly and Mark so charming.
But what happens when many of the new episodes aren’t “live” after all?
The Sun recently confirmed that Live is prerecording more episodes — even after fans already complained it’s happening too often. Fans complained about the pre-tapped episodes even back when Ryan Seacrest was a cohost.
Over the past week, the show taped episodes that aren’t scheduled to air until June.
“The opening monologue for the pre-recorded episodes is very general, like, discussing relationships and Mark and Kelly’s marriage and life with the kids,” an inside source reportedly shared with The Sun. The source went on to say that Kelly and Mark avoid talking about major news stories during the pre-taped segments, such as Jerry Springer’s death.
Fans definitely won’t be thrilled about the pre-taped episodes, but the insider reports that this happens all the time with talk shows.
“The hosts have other obligations, so it’s normal for the show to pre-tape,” they told The Sun.

A fan finally gets the best of Mark Consuelos
To celebrate spring, Mark and Kelly have been playing trivia games with fans during the show. If the guests win, they receive a mug as their prize.
Although Mark Consuelos has a pretty solid win record, a fan recently got the better of him.
The guest asked Mark to be nice and go easy on her during the trivia game — but he refused. In the end, the guest won the game and managed to win a mug anyway.
Mark was a good sport about the loss, but did jokingly tell the guest, “Just for the record, Christine, this does not go against my win/loss record.”

Shows should not be taped. I liked the show with Ryan better.
