Netflix Preview Conor ‘McGregor Forever’ Trailer & Release Date
Netflix has released a preview for the Conor McGregor documentary McGregor Forever as well as its release date. Here is what you need to know about when the movie comes out on Netflix, what it is about, and a look at the trailer.
McGregor Forever release date
Netflix has a brand-new documentary coming to the streaming service following UFC fighter Conor McGregor after he broke his leg in a fight. The feature then tracks his recovery, his mental process, and how he plans to make his big return.
McGregor Forever hits Netflix on May 17.
What is the Conor McGregor Netflix documentary about?
McGregor Forever follows UFC star Conor McGregor after his horrific broken leg suffered at UFC 264. McGregor lost the fight to Dustin Poirier thanks to the broken leg back in 2001. He then had to deal with the injury and figure out how to return from such a gruesome and possibly career-ending injury.
McGregor mentioned in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix series that he flipped through several emotions. He was high on adrenaline when he broke his leg and lashed out instantly. He then went through a time when he thought his career might be over and didn’t know how he could have dealt with that.
“Jesus, imagine it was just taken from me like that.’ I would be a different person, and it was a bit scary, to be honest,” McGregor said in the trailer.
However, what Netflix is producing is McGregor’s story from his point of view. McGregor also said this was the only place anyone will hear his side of the story and that the rest of his life story is just getting started.
The Religion of Sports co-founder Gotham Chopra directed this Netflix feature. He has since promoted the documentary. According to Chopra, railers warned him that McGregor was “an entirely unreasonable man.” He also said this makes him impossible not to watch, saying people need to watch the documentary and not look away or “I guarantee you, you will definitely miss something inexplicably wild.”
McGregor Forever trailer
The trailer for the upcoming Netflix documentary hit on April 25 and gives a small taste of what fans can expect. The injury is shown in its entirety, as is Conor’s rant after he went down toward his opponent. The footage then shows him in his hospital bed as he talks about everything that went through his mind after the injury.
McGregor Forever will bring the audience into the room with Conor McGregor as he undertakes one of the hardest battles of his career. Conor works to rehabilitate his broken leg and get his UFC career back on track.
