’Love Is Blind:’ Canceled Or Renewed With New Hosts?
Love Is Blind on Netflix has gained much popularity since it began. Nick and Vanessa Lachey have hosted every season thus far and have been met with love and hate. These two enjoy seeing couples match up in the pods and find love. With the end of the fourth season, fans have started to show concern about their hosting. In fact, there are questions about if the show will continue and if the hosts will be swapped out.
The Emotional Scarring
Recently, it has come out that some of the contestants on the show have suffered emotional scarring. They have claimed that the producers kept them from sleeping, eating, and drinking due to the protocols of the show. During the audition process, the cast was given psychological tests and some admitted that they were shocked that they passed.
One cast member, Daniele Ruhl admitted to the producers that she had attempted to commit suicide before. She even brought up that when she was struggling with being on the show, she asked if she could leave. The producers wouldn’t let her leave even though she was clearly going through panic attacks. She even told them that she “didn’t trust herself” and needed to go.
Not only have the producers gotten a lot of backlash, but now it looks as if Nick and Vanessa Lachey are getting hate as well. In fact, there are some viewers who feel that these two always put themselves in the center of attention and not the contestants.
Love Is Blind‘s Future
It has come out that fans of Love Is Blind have had mixed reactions about Nick and Vanessa Lachey. Billboard reported that there is actually a petition going around to have them replaced as the hosts. In the petition, there are portions that state that the couple tends to direct “attention at themselves and their personal lives rather than focusing on the contestants that are actually participating in the experiment.” These fans feel that the show is “being held back from its full potential.”
Fans also feel that the couple has asked inappropriate questions and have made contestants feel uneasy. These fans feel that she should not ask so many questions about when they’re having babies or what their sex lives are like. However, the question still remains if the show has been renewed or canceled. Netflix has yet to release an official statement, but fans will wait and see. Season 5 has already been filmed, so at least one more season is coming but after that is up in the air.
