’Love Is Blind’ Hot Tea Spilled, Cast Left Emotionally Scarred?
Love Is Blind, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, on Netflix has become one of their most popular shows. Viewers love to see couples fall in love sight unseen. These couples go through a lot to be on the show though. It turns out that some of them went through more than they could take. What happened to these cast members? Let’s find out.
Love Is Blind Shockers
This past week, Love Is Blind went live to share the reunion special. However, as most Netflix viewers were getting excited, the live stream failed! Viewers were pretty upset that they stayed up to watch this reunion and the service couldn’t deliver. The reunion was filmed and then shortly added to Netflix for fans to watch. As they watched on, there were a lot of tears and some major shockers for all to see.
One of the scandals that came up while Nick and Vanessa Lachey were drilling the cast was about Paul Peden. In one scene, where he was leaving Micah Lussier after the altar, fans started reaching about him cheating on Micah. This got addressed by Paul and Vanessa on the reunion episode. They both said that these fans are just reaching to try and find something to bust him on.
During this season of Love Is Blind, viewers saw a lot of tears and drama. It turns out that all of the emotions are the show were real. There are actually several cast members that have made some claims about the producers of the show. These cast members claim to be emotionally scarred from being on the show.
Mental Health Destroyed
The show is now under fire about some of the allegations that cast members are bringing up. When singles sign up to be on the show, they must go through quite a process. In fact, one of the screenings that they take is a psychological screening. According to Variety, Danielle Ruhl from Season 2 was shocked that she passed it. She admitted to the producers that she had attempted suicide and for sure thought they would push her out. Interestingly enough, she ended up on the show anyway.
In fact, Danielle is one of the cast members who has made claims that the producers wouldn’t let her leave. She told Variety, “I kept telling them, ‘I don’t trust myself. I’ve tried committing suicide before. I’m having suicidal thoughts. I don’t think I can continue in this.'” Other cast members added that they were sleep deprived and never got enough food or water.
When producers heard this, they stated, “The wellbeing of our participants is of paramount importance to us. We have rigourous protocols in place to care for each person before, during, and after filming.” The production company, Kinetic, is being charged with “inhumane working conditions” by a Season 2 cast member named Jeremy Hartwell.
