Tori Roloff Realizes Kids Are Starting To Notice

Little People, Big World star Tori Roloff made a bit of a sad realization recently — kids are starting to notice. Who are these kids she’s referring to? And, what are they starting to notice?

Tori and Zach Roloff have always taken a lot of pride in treating Jackson like a regular child. This included things like putting him on sports teams with children who weren’t part of the little people community. The TLC couple wants Jackson to rule the world and do whatever he wants in life without worrying about his size holding him back.

As children the same age as Jackson get older, they are growing. And, they are starting to notice Jackson is a bit different than they are. Now, children Jackson’s age don’t really have much of a filter. They tend to speak their mind. They, however, don’t really come from a malicious or hurtful place. Just a curious one. Still, that didn’t stop Jackson from being a bit bothered when some of the kids on the soccer team playing against his team had questions.

Tori Roloff recalled what happened and how it stuck with Jackson enough that he told Tori about it:

At Jackson’s first soccer game, the other team was asking why he was so small. Purely out of curiosity I believe-not bullying or being malicious-just curious. It stuck with him enough to tell me on the side line though.

How did she handle the situation?

The LPBW star proceeded to tell her followers on Instagram how she handled the situation. She recalled telling Jackson, “that’s how God made you, now show them how fast you are!” 

Tori proceeded to watch her son reassure her she handled the situation the right way as he got back out on that field and ended up scoring a goal.

She continued to tell her followers: “He’s starting to notice that he’s different and that’s hard to cope with- however, I WANT him to know he’s different. But maybe not in the way he thinks he is.”

For Tori, it is important for Jackson to embrace being different and use it to be more successful as opposed to turning it into a crutch of some sort.

I pray you see your differences and use them to change the world. You are different, kid. Different than any kid I’ve ever met. You are one of a kind and I am so stinking proud to be your mom.

In the comments, LPBW fans appreciated the beautiful post and agreed that Jackson Roloff was perfect exactly the way he was. Moreover, they praised Tori for continuing to do a great job raising him.
