On Tuesday, April 11, Howie Mandel released the latest episode of his Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast. During the episode, he interviewed Tom Sandoval about his breakup with Ariana Madix and his affair with Raquel Leviss. Howie admitted that he never watched an episode of VPR. His daughter Jackelyn Shultz is a big fan of the show and filled in details on what happened.

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the Canadian comedian argued that he wanted to give Sandoval a safe space to share his side of the story. Howie didn’t understand what all the fuss was about. However, he managed to anger many Bravo fans. Most of them took to Twitter to drag him during the live interview.

The social media app was flooded with criticism. Some accused the America’s Got Talent judge of “justifying” Sandoval’s cheating. Others slammed him for not knowing that Raquel and Ariana were best friends before the cheating scandal. Howie claimed to know nothing about the “Scandoval.”

Howie Mandel’s tweets have been blowing up from this. His podcast has garnered a lot of interest in recent days. He previously interviewed Kris Jenner, who talked about her steamy bedroom romps with her younger boyfriend Corey Gamble. Some fans think she divulged too much during that podcast episode.

Howie Mandel continues to defend his action. He has no regrets about his interviews with Tom Sandoval. Yet, he still feels that he should’ve stayed in his lane. Upon the immediate backlash from the Vanderpump Rules fans, he went into hiding. Howie admitted that he went into hiding and stopped looking at his Twitter feed.

He joked to Extra’s Billy Bush that he’s “on lockdown.” Howie has never experienced this kind of backlash in his 50-year career. The television personality shared that his “Twitter feed is a mess of hate. Howie also denied the claims that he should’ve watched the show.

“I don’t need to do the homework,” Howie Mandel argued. “I know who [Sandoval] is. I know what show he’s on.”
