Which Hallmark Real-Life Couple Just Called It Quits?
Hallmark is the place for rom-coms, mysteries, and a cornucopia of series. Moreover, at the core, it is always about love. Therefore, it is not unusual for a couple to fall in love on the set.
One example is Chris McNally and Julie Gonzalo. They didn’t know each other when they filmed The Sweetest Heart.
However, spending time together off-camera to work on chemistry has led to a real-life romance. Just last year, the very private couple welcomed a baby daughter.
Although When Calls The Heart stars Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace never played Hope Valley love interests, they both joined the series at the same time. First, they were friends, and now they are engaged.
In addition, real-life couples enjoy working together in a Hallmark movie. Alexa and Carlos PenaVega are a couple who have worked together in movies like Love In The Limelight.
Hallmark fans love to watch matched-up couples in movies and follow them on social media. This is part of the fun of watching new movies.
Unfortunately, one Hallmark couple has recently called it quits. What do we know about this split?
Three Weddings Were Not The Charm
On Monday, US Magazine reported that Victor Webster and Shingle Vansanten are getting divorced. They revealed that earlier in the year, Webster “quietly” filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. the 50-year-old actor listed January 10 as their date of separation.
Back in 2016, Victor Webster and Shantel Vansanten met on the set of Hallmark’s Love Blossoms. She portrayed a scent specialist trying to create the perfect perfume. Webster played a guy with an extreme talent for scent. She needed his nose for her success, but in the end, love won all.
Then, in February 2021, the couple got engaged. Calling him her “best friend,” the now 37-year-old actress said yes. This was during the pandemic, therefore, they didn’t have just one big day, but three. This triple event was for a variety of reasons.
First, they married on her grandparent’s wedding anniversary. This was because her grandpa died before he could walk her down the aisle. So, on August 9, they married at Pasadena City Hall.
Next, the two married in Napa, California, in October 2021. Lastly, they went to her Minnesota hometown for a third wedding. This is because some of her elderly relatives could not risk Covid to travel to Napa.
This means the couple’s marriage lasted under two years.
Social Media Told Story Of Hallmark Couple’s Split
Fans of Victor and Shantel may have realized that the couple had split way before the news came out. That is because it has been months since Victor shared a photo of the two of them. In the past, his feed spilled over with beautiful photos of his bride. However, sometime in the fall, they discontinued.
In addition, there was another lady that has been the focus of his life. In mid-January, on Instagram, he posted a photo of his sweet dog Nova with the cryptic caption, “My ride or die.” Most recently, Nova and Victor were in Zion National Park.
As for Shantel, she has deleted her Instagram account. Neither couple has publicly commented on their split.
