This is what we know about Hallmark’s new baseball movie romance. According to the synopsis, top New York City publicist Hazel Miller (Cahill) has some big ambitions. With those career ambitions come some big challenges.
Now, she is faced with the biggest opportunity of her career. Her new client is Diego Vasquez (Gazzini). He is a top pitcher for the MLB, playing for the local team, the New York Mets.
However, Diego froze in Game 7 of the World Series. Diego now needs a reset. He is convinced that he now needs a PR team to improve his image with those angry fans. This sounds like a fantastic challenge for Hazel but what is her hesitation?
It turns out that what is further complicating things is that Diego is the guy that broke Hazel’s heart in high school. That is a pain that she still cannot forget. Subsequently, she now needs to be the epitome of a confident and professional executive, while inside, her heart still hurts. Moreover, when she sees him, she is drawn right into that feeling she had before her heart was broken.
Therefore, she is forced to ignore her feelings and work on spinning his story and restoring his reputation. Yet, this challenge gets more personal as the two head back to their small Ohio hometown to reinvent his image.

I’ve only seen the preview, but Hallmark has got to be kidding about presenting this guy as a pitcher. I know Hallmark movies require a suspension of disbelief, but this is a little too much even for them.
