Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell’s Cancer: Olive Branch For Mama June?

Mama June Shannon has been showing up for her daughter Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell amid her cancer diagnosis. Sadly, Anna is currently battling stage 4 cancer. However, the family has not always been a cohesive unit, especially with June and Anna. Now, when the going has gotten tough, Mama June is showing her devotion to her children. Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell’s Cancer: Olive Branch For Mama June?

It is no secret that Anna Cardwell and Mama June have had a strained relationship. Anna has spoken out about the men that June had brought around while she was growing up. More so, it was not a safe environment and Anna seemingly cut ties with her mother. She never appeared on any of the reality television shows after Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Fans constantly asked if they would see Anna again on TV but she only appeared on TikTok. Then, Mama June renewed her vows in February to husband, Justin Stroud, and Anna happened to be there with her sisters.

She walked her mother down the aisle and it was revealed that this would be filmed for the upcoming season of Family Crisis. Then, just a few days ago, news broke that Anna had stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. It has affected her liver, lung, and kidney. So far, she has undergone one chemotherapy session and the doctors are waiting to see how she responds. It seems that her family, though once estranged, has now rallied around Anna to help with whatever she needs. This includes her mother.

According to TMZ, Mama June is extending an olive branch toward Anna by helping her with whatever she needs during this trying time. Anna has two children, 10 and 7 who also need tending. Fortunately, she is fortunate to have a loving boyfriend by her side. It seems that the cancer diagnosis made Mama June realize she needed to step up and more so, show up for Anna. It had been reported that she has been by her side at her vital appointments and is playing the role of mother, in the best way possible.

Making Amends

Mama June seems to believe that being with Anna Cardwell during times of crisis will be the unification that they need. It can somehow put the past where it belongs and help them forge forward to happiness and most importantly health. Anna has already shown signs of what the chemo has done as she started to lose hair. However, she has a lot of love and support surrounding her and a mother who is desperate to make it right. Hopefully, this mending of fencing will last long after she is in remission.
