Raquel Leviss’ Restraining Order Against Scheana Shay Ongoing
Scheana Shay is still dealing with drama. Raquel Leviss claimed that she dropped the temporary restraining order against her co-star. However, it’s still ongoing. Scheana’s lawyer provided an update and denied Raquel’s claims. Keep on reading for the latest details.
Scheana Shay’s lawyer denies Raquel Leviss’ claims
Scheana Shay and her lawyer Neama Rahmani are still fighting this restraining order. The attorney denied the claims that Raquel dropped her temporary restraining order just one day after the taping of the Season 10 Vanderpump Rules reunion. Still, Neama feels good about the court case.
“We plan to show up in court tomorrow to prove these allegations are false and Raquel lied about the entire thing,” Neama said in a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, March 28. “Despite reports that Rachel has dropped the temporary restraining order, the case remains on the court calendar for Wednesday, and we will be there to vigorously defend Scheana.”
Neama claims that Raquel, whose birth name is Rachel, didn’t go through the proper legal methods to cancel the restraining order. Scheana Shay’s lawyer believes they will “prevail in this course.” Raquel tried to dismiss the case, but it’s still scheduled for Wednesday. All parties need to appear “in order to resolve the matter.”
Raquel claims she dropped the restraining order on Friday, March 24. She revealed in her statement that her “attorney took my case off the court calendar Wednesday.” Raquel went through the media to inform the “court” that she “will not be moving forward with a permanent restraining order.” The SUR-ver would have to show up in court to drop the temporary court order protection.
Is it a PR stunt?
Scheana Shay accused Raquel of creating “another PR stunt.” An insider close to the Bravo star denied Raquel’s claims to Page Six. Raquel filed the temporary restraining order earlier this month, which is set to expire today. It prevented Raquel and Scheana from filming the Pump Rules Season 10 reunion together.
“There is no mechanism to terminate a civil temporary restraining order (TRO) early, unlike a domestic violence temporary restraining order,” the insider told the outlet.
Raquel claims that her “team tried to work with Scheana on a mutually beneficial agreement hoping to get the TRO dropped earlier so we could film [the reunion] together.” She asked her legal team to serve Scheana Shay papers via host Andy Cohen before the reunion. Of course, it didn’t work since she didn’t file the appropriate paperwork.
She also didn’t need Scheana Shay’s permission to end the restraining order either. It’ll be interesting to see what the outcome is of this legal drama. What are your thoughts on Raquel Leviss’ restraining order against Scheana Shay being ongoing? Sound off below in the comment section.
