Why Raquel Leviss dropped the restraining order

On Friday, March 24, Raquel Leviss officially dropped the restraining order. This comes just a day after the cast filmed the Pump Rules Season 10 reunion. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Raquel asked host Andy Cohen to serve legal papers to Scheana Shay. She tried to drop the restraining order before the reunion, but there was one problem.

She didn’t file the papers with the court and have them notarized. As a result, they weren’t official legal documents. Raquel Leviss had the court order protection dropped the next day. She issued a statement with Entertainment Tonight about her decision. She claims that her lawyer was able to handle the matter.

“I can confirm that my attorney took my case off the court calendar Wednesday and is filing the appropriate paperwork requested by the court today to dismiss the TRO (temporary restraining order) from moving forward after the 29th,” Raquel Leviss said in her statement to Entertainment Tonight.

Her lawyer “let the court know” that she will not move forward with the restraining order. However, a hearing is still set for Wednesday, March 29. It will take place at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

“My team tried to work with Scheana on a mutually beneficial agreement hoping to get the TRO dropped earlier so we could film [the Vanderpump Rules reunion] together,” Raquel Leviss explained.

The reason why she filed the court order protection was to give Scheana some time to cool off. This comes after Raquel Leviss doubled down on her allegations that her co-star gave her a black eye upon learning about her affair with Tom Sandoval. Scheana denied the claims via her attorney.

Scheana Shay hit with restraining order

Raquel Leviss shared more details on Wednesday. She spoke with paparazzi in front of a nail salon in West Hollywood. The Bravo star confirmed that she has a “scrape” on her left eye. Raquel also teased that “Scheana knows what happened that night.”

The former pageant queen had a change of heart. Raquel revealed that she didn’t want to pursue it any further. She didn’t want to stress out the mom of one. This has made filming the VPR Season 10 reunion difficult for everyone involved.

“I didn’t want to continue with the permanent RO nor did I want to cause Scheana further agony and stress,” Raquel Leviss said.

However, Scheana’s attorney, Neama Rahmani, claimed Raquel ruined the reunion. She also revealed “there is no way for Rachel [Raquel’s birth name] to ‘drop’ the temporary restraining order” before next week’s court date.
