Carlin Bates & Evan Stewart Share Gender Reveal Sneak Peek
Bringing Up Bates stars Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart are giving fans a special look behind the scenes at a gender reveal! The couple shared some footage from the event. Keep reading for all of the fun details.
As fans know, Carlin and Evan share three-year-old Layla Rae and one-year-old Zade Patrick. They also have a dog, Izzy. Due to Carlin’s ongoing mysterious health issues, it looked like they would be waiting to add more kiddos to their family. Since Zade’s birth, which was a year ago, Carlin has been having seizure-like episodes. She has been keeping fans updated via social media as she tries new medications and goes to appointments. So far, it doesn’t sound like she has a diagnosis, unfortunately.
Because of all of this, she and Evan weren’t going to rush to grow their family. While they want more kids, they are enjoying Layla and Zade while focusing on her health.
But now, they are giving fans a look behind the scenes at a gender reveal. Is their family growing again?

It turns out that Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart aren’t growing their family right now. But someone else in the Bringing Up Bates family is expecting!
Carlin’s brother Zach Bates and his wife Whitney are expecting their fifth baby, who is due to arrive in August 2023. This past weekend, they shared the gender reveal, which was filmed by Carlin and Evan.
After Whitney and Zach shared the reveal on their Instagram page, Carlin and Evan showed fans what went on behind the scenes at the reveal. You can check out their YouTube video below.
Is it a boy or a girl?
In Zach and Whitney’s reveal, they learned that their fifth baby is a girl! To learn the gender, their four kids, Bradley, Kaci, Khloé, and Jadon bit into cupcakes, which were filled with pink icing. They also popped party poppers, sending pink confetti into the air.
