‘Teen Mom’ Ryan Edwards Returns To Show After Firing
Teen Mom alum Ryan Edwards is apparently filming again after being fired a few years back. Though he has recently faced a slew of legal issues, the father of Bentley has been welcomed back. Yet, what has caused this return and when can fans expect to see him back on their screens? Read on for more details.
Teen Mom Ryan Edwards Returns To Show After Firing
Ryan Edwards is back to filming Teen Mom with his ex, Maci Bookout. This comes two years after his family was initially let go from the series. Though it was unclear what the status of Ryan and his now-estranged wife, Mackenzie was at the time, it soon changed. Maci apparently wanted the couple removed, as well. Since he left the series, things have gotten worse for Ryan. He was recently arrested twice while being accused of domestic abuse by Mackenzie.
She has filed for divorce as well as a restraining order seeking protection for herself and her two children with Ryan. Ryan is not permitted to be around his estranged wife or their children. However, he was arrested for harassing her on March 1st. Now, according to The Sun, this does not seem to matter to MTV. The father of three is now filming The Next Chapter despite being ordered to go into rehab for his substance abuse problems. No word if that has become outpatient to accommodate his filming schedule.
Furthermore, Ryan Edwards is also supposedly seeing a new woman, which could have also led to his split from Mackenzie. Additionally, Ryan was spotted at a Tennessee restaurant along with Maci. Prior to all of Ryan’s current issues, he was seen bonding with his and Maci’s son, Bentley. This is huge as he was seen never really present in Bentley’s life which was why Maci’s husband, Taylor McKinney has been such an asset. He needed a father figure when Ryan was not showing up.
When Will Fans See Him?
It is unclear when the new season of The Next Chapter will premiere. However, the main reason Ryan Edwards was brought back was that MTV discovered he was seeing Bentley. According to The Ashleys Reality Roundup, which broke the Ryan news, his past and present were ignored for a storyline. A source had this to tell TARR: “MTV was all over this. With all of this drama happening with [the Edwards family], they wasted no time bringing him back and were surprised he agreed, actually.” Clearly, he has legal bills and such that he has to pay. Plus, he may want to look like a true family man and redeem himself.
