‘My 600-Lb Life’ Tina Arnold Apologizes & Adds Disclaimer To Post
Tina Arnold really surprised 1000-Lb Best Friends viewers last week when she decided not to have bariatric surgery. The TLC star had been wishy-washy about undergoing surgery in the first place. But during last week’s episode, she waited until the very last second to make her final decision.
Ashely was waiting at the hospital so she and Tina could have the surgery together. Dr. Procter was also at the hospital ready to perform the procedure. But Tina just couldn’t bring herself to get in the car and go.
After last week’s episode and Tina’s recent Instagram posts, some fans are really annoyed with her.
Tina Arnold confesses she never ended up getting bariatric surgery
Right now, fans aren’t sure whether or not the TLC star ended up changing her mind. Online, Tina claims that she still hasn’t had the surgery, but she could be making that up. TLC typically wants its stars to keep their progress under wraps so they can reveal it in future episodes.
But either way, she’s still happily exploring life with her husband Johnnie.
“Date night with babes. Sorry it’s blurry.. my hands are annoyingly shaky. But isn’t he cute? ❤️🥰” the reality TV star captioned her post. “Disclaimer: ****Sarcasm ahead**** Good thing he still loves me even though I’m still fat and didn’t have surgery… 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 #twentyyearstogetherfat #hestilllovesme #hethinksimcute #yallbigmad but he’s still here. 😉❤️🤷🏻♀️”
Tina’s decision not to have bariatric surgery definitely agitated some fans. They felt frustrated that she worked so hard and made so much progress just to give up.
However, during last week’s episode, Tina shared that she’s always had complications following surgeries, such as her C-section and later a gallbladder procedure. She confessed she was terrified of dying on the table due to her medical history.
No matter how much she wanted to lose weight, she couldn’t risk leaving her four children without a mother.
Some fans rally around the TLC star while others criticize
On this particular Instagram post, the comment section had a mixed bag of reactions.
“Girl you did what you felt was right in that time. You can’t be forced to have surgery if you’re not ready,” one supportive fan wrote in the comments.
“You let the Dr down and your best friend who was counting on you to support each other through this,” another follower chastised Tina.
The decision was ultimately Tina Arnold’s choice, but that won’t stop fans from having their own opinions. What did you think of her choice to skip surgery? Leave your own ideas in the comments.

She gonna leave her kids without their mama by not losing weight. This isn’t hard to understand.
I had gastric bypass 13 yrs. ago. I thank God every day I did. I went from 350 to 143. I had a lot of problems after including 2 bouts of anarexia where I got down to 92 pds. I am 5’7″. I managed to get passed all hurdles. To this day I am happy and healthy.
She did what was right for her and her family I understand how she feels we need to just watch the show and be happy for her
