As TV Shows Ace previously reported, TJ Holmes and Amy Robach are quietly pitching a show about their relationship. The two are also discussing the next step in their romance. Their relationship came to light in late November 2022. The former GMA3: What You Need to Know co-hosts were allegedly having an affair with their respective spouses.

ABC News suspended them for several weeks. In January 2023, the network confirmed the firing of the co-anchors. Despite their firing, TJ Holmes and Amy have been spending a lot of time together lately. They traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in light of their unemployment.

An insider told Us Weekly said they learned about their “next steps.” They are considering getting married, but haven’t set any plans yet. TJ Holmes and Amy feel their love is real and they want to celebrate that with their friends. However, that may be difficult since they broke up with their families over their shocking alleged affair.

“Friends feel they will get engaged soon because they were friends a long time before they became lovers,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They have a strong bond.”

The two have “talked about” where their future holds. Surprisingly, Amy and TJ Holmes aren’t living together. They’re still discussing “moving in together and getting engaged.” This romance is blossoming and the feelings are coming on strong.

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes became tabloid fodder when they were spotted out on several dates outside of the office. At the time, TJ was married to Marilee Fiebig, but he filed for divorce. Amy has been married to Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue since 2010. Both also have kids from other relationships.

GMA3 alumni don’t want to rush things

Amid the news of their affair, ABC News immediately pulled them from the morning show. They launched an internal investigation. TJ Holmes and Amy Robach want to navigate their lives together. However, that doesn’t mean they’re in a rush to walk down the aisle.

The two have packed on the PDA on several occasions since their ABC firing. The first source told Us Weekly that Amy “sees a future” with TJ Holmes. She didn’t realize that she would feel so strongly about her former co-anchor. Amy fell in love with him and wants to marry him.

“Amy hasn’t felt this strong for someone in a long time. It’s serious for her,” the insider continued. “She would marry him. They want to give it time though. …  She is genuinely happy with TJ.”
