Joy is currently expecting her third child. Austin Forsyth and his wife have a five-year-old son Gideon and a two-year-old daughter Evelyn. They lost a baby in between Evelyn’s and Gideon’s births. Fortunately, this pregnancy seems to be going smoothly. Their little boy will arrive in May.
If you follow Joy on social media, you may know that fans often raise concerns about her safety and the safety of her children. She’s posted footage of herself riding ATVs with no helmet while pregnant. Her kids have gone barefoot at construction sites. The list goes on and on and she continues to shock fans with the way she cares for her children.
Now, fans are unhappy with her latest move. What did she do this time?

In a recent YouTube video, Joy included a clip of herself and her family in the car together. Noticeably, the pregnant mom is not wearing a seatbelt despite being in the front seat.
A photo was reposted on Reddit. This is where Duggar fans and critics are expressing their concerns. You can check out a photo below. The car was visibly moving when she did not have her seatbelt fastened.
One Duggar snarker said, “I didn’t think anyone went without seatbelts in the front anymore. I mean, do they somehow disable that annoying beep that tells you to put it on?”
Someone else chimed in, “I don’t…understand the mentality. It’s a seatbelt. It’s the simplest thing you can possibly do to prevent grievous bodily harm and death.”

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, “Buckling up through all stages of your pregnancy is the single most effective action you can take to protect yourself and your unborn child in a crash.”
