Fans love watching Layla Stewart grow up.
Thanks to Instagram and YouTube, fans have had the chance to watch Layla grow. She is Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart’s firstborn child and celebrated her third birthday in January. As we reported, her little personality is developing and she isn’t afraid to let it shine in photos and videos. Of course, fans love all of the posts about Layla and her little brother, Zade.
Carlin and Evan share weekly vlogs about their daughter, as well as regular Instagram posts and Stories about what they are all up to.

On social media this weekend, the Bates family shared several photos from their “I Love You Day” costume party. They haven’t posted all of the photos and details yet, but fans were excited to get a little glimpse at the festivities. One of the photos of some of the grandchildren was reposted on Reddit. And fans and critics have a lot to say about it, mainly due to Layla’s outfit.

Layla wore a full suit, including a tie, for the occasion. Fans were pretty surprised to see this because the Bates family typically sticks to traditional gender roles. As you can see in the photo, none of the other little girls wore suits like Layla’s. They dressed up in more traditionally feminine styles.
In the comments section of the Reddit post, fans are happy to see Carlin’s family stepping outside of traditional gender roles in this way. One fan said, “YAS Miss Layla in a pantsuit 🙌🏻”
However, some are pretty surprised and brought attention to the Bates family’s hypocrisy. One fan commented, “Is Layla……CROSS DRESSING???? No drag in Tennessee, Bates family!” Of course, they are just joking around. After all, this is just a three-year-old in a costume.
Another added, “Wow, two girls in pants and Layla’s even in a suit!”
Hopefully, the Bates family will have lots of pictures to share from the event soon. In the meantime, fans are enjoying the little snippets they have shared so far.
