Is ‘Below Deck’ Most Dramatic Show On Bravo?
Below Deck fans are learning more insider secrets about the series. Season 10 has already been through its share of dramatic highs and lows. The show is returning on a high note on Monday’s episode. Captain Lee Rosbach will be back to charter the rest of the season.
He left the crew on a sour note. Captain Lee had to take a step back due to his medical issues. He knew he couldn’t leave the St. David crew hanging. Captain Lee followed his doctor’s orders and he returned strong enough to carry the rest of the charter season.
Find out the secrets behind Below Deck.
Will Hannah Ferrier return?
Fans remember former chief stew Hannah Ferrier from Below Deck Mediterranean. Captain Sandy Yawn fired her in Season 5 for having an undeclared prescription for Valium and a CBD pen in her belongings. The firing was one of the most shocking and controversial moments in Below Deck history.
Hannah said she would be open to returning to the show in some form. She wouldn’t work with Captain Sandy again. Producer Mark Cronin previously spoke to Us Weekly about having her back. Despite her firing, he admitted that he would like to have her back on the show.
“I wouldn’t have any trouble with her back on the show,” Mark told Us Weekly. “I don’t think she could work for Captain Sandy, but yeah, she could work for another captain.”
Hannah previously admitted that she would like to appear on Below Deck Down Under with Captain Jason Chambers. She encouraged him to join the Peacock spinoff series. Hannah also helped Aesha Scott get her start as a chief stew on the show. Even though she’s no longer working in the yachting industry, Hannah is still a mentor to others who aspire to be on the interior or exterior crew.
Is it really as dramatic as they claim?
This season of Below Deck sure looks dramatic. However, it’s not the most dramatic show on the Bravo franchise. Mark told In Touch Weekly that the crew isn’t as bad as they seem. They’ve had some of the “funniest” crew members like Travis Michalzik and Jack Stirrup.
Most of the time, the crew is goofing around behind the scenes. Producers “obviously show the dramatic side of things like the work stuff.” The cameras aren’t rolling when the crew turns into major “goofballs” and joke around. Mark says the Below Deck fans have no idea how much fun they have filming the show.
As for Hannah and Captain Sandy’s feud, it’s very much real. He called them “two very powerful people, very opinionated, both very good at their jobs.” It’s common for people like that to clash when they work together.
“Hannah didn’t like a lot of Sandy’s management style,” Mark told Us Weekly. “Sandy didn’t like a lot of Hannah’s management style and they tolerated each other for a little while, but eventually it came to its inevitable end.”
