Will Reba ever have a show reunion? If Steve Howey has his way, he would gladly jump on for a reboot if that was an option. The Shameless alum opened up about getting the gang back together and he was definitely on board. Read on for more details.

Steve Howey Is Ready To Hop Back On The Reba Train

For six seasons, Steve Howey played Van Montgomery on Reba. He was Reba’s son-in-law who started out as her daughter, Cheyenne’s high school love. In the premiere of the series, it was revealed that Cheyenne and Van were expecting a baby though they were just teenagers. Throughout the run of the show, Steve had an impeccable ability to make fans laugh with his quirky antics. Yet, as the series progressed, he went from pro-football player to Reba’s real estate business partner.

According to an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Steve shared that he and his former TV mother-in-law have remained close. In fact, she has stayed close to many of her co-stars from the show. Melissa Peterman, who played BJ in the series, loves Reba McEntire, and the two even reunited for a Lifetime movie. So, what are the chances of a Reba reunion or a reboot since so many shows are coming back with new life? If it was an option, Steve Howey would be ready.

“Yeah, I mean, I don’t even know because when I played Van on that show, I was in my early 20s. And to see where Van is now and where the family is, I mean I would do anything. Reba says, ‘Jump,’ and I’ll say, ‘How high?'” Howey shared. He loves Reba so much that he is going to see her perform on April 1st at the Hollywood Bowl. More so, he asked if he could have a mini-Reba reunion during the show. Sadly, McEntire was not about it.

Desperate For More Van?

Steve Howey really wants to bring life back to Van Montgomery that he asked Reba if he could come on stage at the Hollywood Bowl. “I’m going. And I pitched a whole thing that she shot down. I was like, ‘Can I come out on stage and say, ‘Hey Mrs. H?’ And she was like, ‘Well, I gotta go change and then we come out and I sing ‘Survivor,’ and that’s when she’s like, ‘We don’t have time. I don’t have time.’ And I was like, ‘Alright, just kick down my dreams,'” Howey explained. Moreover, this would have been fun to see for fans of the show. However, maybe by putting this idea in her head, Reba will reconsider and bring the show back, at least for a few episodes.
