But even so, many viewers would love to learn more about their favorite bariatric surgeon and his family.
My 600-Lb. Life star Dr. Now has been married before. But what about his children?
The famous surgeon married his wife Delores in 1974 and later divorced in 2002. But they did have three children together before their split.
Distractify reports that “Their first child, Jonathan, was born in February 1978. They later had their first daughter, Jennifer, in February 1980. Delores then gave birth to their second daughter Jessica in May 1983.”
Jonathan Nowzaradan is a director and executive producer on My 600-Lb. Life while his sister Jennifer helps with Dr. Now’s online store and merch. Her Instagram page features many beautiful creations she’s made for her father — including the earrings bearing the TLC star’s image.
Jessica Nowzaradan seems to be pursuing a career as an epigenetic coach. According to her LinkedIn profile, she does work with her father’s practice as a communications coordinator.
All of Dr. Now’s children seem happy to work with their father, but prefer a more behind-the-scenes role.
What does the future hold for the popular TLC show?
My 600-Lb. Life is currently airing its 11th season on TLC. Fans love catching new episodes of the show, but aren’t sure how much longer it will last. Dr. Now turns 79 this October and can’t possibly practice medicine forever.
For now, fans can enjoy the latest season and wait for news about the show’s future. It’s entirely possible that My 600-Lb. Life could continue with a new bariatric surgeon steering the ship. However, viewers would certainly miss Dr. Now and his no-nonsense attitude.
