Is Lori Loughlin Making New ‘Garage Sale Mysteries’ For Hallmark?
Some recent programming on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has made Sleuthers wonder whether Lori Loughlin is making new episodes of Garage Sale Mysteries.
Why are Sleuthers asking this question, and what do we know about the future of the Signature Mystery Series?
Is Lori Loughlin Making New Garage Sale Mysteries?
Recently, Hallmark has been quietly adding Lori Loughlin’s Garage Sale Mysteries to their lineup. This has not gone unnoticed. Her content was completely removed from the network when the news of the College Admissions Scandal hit. That was nearly four years ago.
However, this week, on Reddit, one poster wrote, “I heard they are making new ones with Lori, is that true?”
Many fans responded positively to the series. Yet, why do Sleuthers think that they are making more?
It turns out, this all started four years ago.
Lori Loughlin Was Filming New Mystery When Scandal Hit
At the time the scandal hit, Lori Loughlin was filming a second Garage Sale Mystery in the Vancouver area.
They had completed Searched & Seized. They were filming their second of three consecutive mysteries for the series. However, they had one week left of Three Little Murders. Unfortunately, they have never completed filming the remainder of the latter.
That final completed mystery, Searched & Seized, did not air until 2023, although the DVD was previously available for purchase on Amazon.
Final Garage Sale Mysteries Movie Finally Airs On HMM
Recently, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has brought back Garage Sale Mysteries to air during regular programming.
This was not long after Hallmark began to slowly add a new mystery every week. They did this last summer, adding a new mystery a week to the Hallmark Movies Now streaming site. This includes Searched & Seized, the final finished movie.
Now, HMM is airing GS Mysteries marathons. The beloved series is back on the network and Sleuthers are thrilled.
For many Sleuthers, Garage Sale Mysteries is a brand-new series. That is because of the four-year absence since the excellent mystery series aired on the network. Also, those who did watch the first time around, are enjoying the return of the series.
Most of all, this final, finished mystery in the set is regularly airing on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The next two times that Sleuthers can watch is on Sunday, March 19, at 9 p.m., and on March 27, at 9 p.m., all times Eastern.
Hallmark Removed All Of Lori Loughlin’s Content Four Years Ago
Back in March 2019, Hallmark removed all of Lori Loughlin’s Hallmark content. This included pausing When Calls The Heart Season 6, and removing Garage Sale Mysteries.
Regarding When Calls The Heart, they had to remove any trace of Lori’s character Abigail Stanton from the remaining episodes. It was weeks before Hearties were able to see the remaining episodes.
In addition, Abigail was mentioned as going to visit a sick aunt outside of Hope Valley. Although she has been mentioned every once in a while, she has not returned.
However, Loughlin did reprise her role as Abigail for Great American Family and the When Hope Calls Christmas two-part special program.
Is Hallmark Making New Garage Sale Mysteries?
Although Searched & Seized feels like a brand-new movie, this is not the case. We know that this was filmed before the scandal.
Moreover, Hallmark has not announced anything about making another one of the popular mystery movies.
In addition, Lori Loughlin’s character Abigail Stanton has not returned to Hope Valley, despite her former costars including Erin Krakow and Pascale Hutton continuing their friendship with Loughlin, publicly hoping she will return to the Hallmark series.
Instead, Lori Loughlin has been doing some work for Great American Family.

Still watching Garage Sale Mysteries on Hallmark; and even though I’ve seen them, they’re still great!😊.. Wish Lori will continue to make them.. We all have made mistakes in our lives, and we’re not here to judge anyone..Let’s just move on🙏
I totally agree, Garage Sales Mysteries is the best series Hallmark ever made and it is because of Lori Loughlin.
I agree. Her episodes were fun, held your interest and Lori has a really likeable screen persona.
I would love to see new Garage Sales Mysteries. It’s time to forgive and forget.
I would love to see new Garage Sale Mysteries. It’s to move on and forgive and forget.
Yes, I hope they make more. The other cast members deserve to continue their fine work and Lori has done her time. Stopping the series punished ALL of them not just Lori.
I am delighted that they would bring back garage Store Mysteries, & was very saddened by the unsupportive line thatHallm ark took 4 years ago with Ms. Loughlin. Is hope the ratings tonight are very good & they will make new episodes.
I wish Hallmark and Lori Loughlin and her gang get back together and make more of the Garage Sale Mysteries. I was just introduced to the series and could’t get enough. Please make more.
Hallmark must be realizing how much the public misses Lori Loughlin.
She is the backbone of Hallmark actors. Garage Sale Mysteries is the best and I am hoping it is back and more episodes will be filmed with Lori Loughlin.
Loved Garage Sale Mystery and would love to see more Lori Loughlin.
I watched all Garage Sale mysteries when they first aired and am continuing to watch them. Hallmark made their mistake years ago when they banned her. Who cares what she did? I’m glad they’ve had enough sense to bring her back. PLEASE bring her and the crew back to make more Garage Sale Mystery movies. I also watch When Calls the Heart. Bring her back for that series as well.
I, too watched all of the Garage Sales mysteries, and loved every one. I realize Ms Laughlin made a mistake, for which she paid. There are few programs I watch because of all of the push for changes in moral behavior, but at least I could count on this series to be good, clean fun. These were well written, and were compelling to watch. I have recorded them, so I can re-watch as I please. Since they butchered the series based on Diane Mott Davidson’s books, I am hopeful that the same cast and writers create new content for GS mysteries. Good grief, you had several winning series here. Are you trying to lose your fans? This is a winner, so get back to doing what works!
I agree 100%! Very well put.
Please bring Lori back on new Garage Sale Mystery. It’s better than some of the new series you’ve been airing. GAC will just get your customers I guess
I really enjoy GSM with Lori Laughlin and was so happy to see they started showing them again! This gives me hope that Lori can start making new episodes! They are really enjoyable and she is loved by so many of us!
Garage sale mysteries were the best. This was when we all sat on the edge of our seats waiting for the next movie. The characters all worked so well together. Lorie did her time and is moving on with her life. Hallmark should show the world that everyone deserves a second chance. This is the right thing to do! Please bring back Garage Sale for the network and your fans.
I’m so glad that Garage Sale is back. Thank you Halmark🙏
Yes, yes, give me more Garage Sale Mysteries, please! Love everything about them.
Lori Loughlin is one of my most favorite actresses and since the series came back on I’ve watched them through completely 3 times! I think this is the best series Hallmark made. Lori is a wonderful actress and the whole cast is great together. Please bring them back. It’s past time. Everyone makes mistakes. Time to begin again. ❤️
I love season 1 of the Garage Sale Mysteries with Lori Loughlin in. Yes, she did wrong but let’s move on as I can see that other people loved the show as well. I sat there and watch all the episodes and want to see more.
Garage Sale Mysteries is my favorite series. I am watching them for the third or fourth time. whenever they are on, I record them and watch them over often. The cast fits together so well and are like old friends.
We all make mistakes especially for our children’s benefit. I hope Lori can be forgiven and the series will continue.
I echo what has been said by others. I love all of the characters and their on screen connections to each other. The mysteries are so well written, unlike some of the other offerings on Hallmark. In watching a good mystery, we want to be suprised!
This series is by far one of the best. Please make more!!!
