Fans Furious As Carlin Bates & Evan Stewart Exploit Kids Online

Over the past few years, Carlin and Evan have become increasingly active on social media. They have their own YouTube channel where they post new videos every week. They also often post on Instagram, TikTok, and other sites. Fans especially appreciate their social media presence due to Bringing Up Bates being canceled a year ago.
Thanks to social media, their followers have gotten to see many special moments in their lives, from pregnancy news to their kids’ milestones. The pair shares Layla, who will be three at the end of January, and Zade, who will turn one in March.
Now, they’re getting backlash for sharing a little too much and exploiting their kiddos. This isn’t the first time that this issue has been discussed online.

The Bringing Up Bates stars hopped on TikTok to share a new video Layla had recorded of herself. In the video, the two-year-old is talking about everything she wants for her birthday, including earrings, a necklace, and lipstick. Then, the little girl is putting on her princess shoes and continues to talk to the camera. While this was meant to be an adorable video, it wasn’t received that way by all fans. Bringing Up Bates fans are left furious after seeing the video.
On Reddit, one fan posted a screenshot from the new TikTok. They pointed out that Layla has had “no privacy since the day she was born.”
Someone else agreed and said, “I don’t think they realize how dangerous it is to show your child on every single social media platform!”
Another fan added that this isn’t solely Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart’s fault. After all, Carlin was on TV from a young age too. They commented, “Poor Layla and Zade being exposed on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. I do blame Carlin and Evan for this but I also blame Gil and Kelly for exploiting their children on television and making Carlin think that this is acceptable.”
