She told People that ” My mother is certainly an inspiration to me.” She revealed that her now-late mother, Lisa Marie Presley was “a very strong, smart woman.”
I was raised by somebody who did their own thing and didn’t really care what other people thought. She was definitely inspirational to me.
After studying a lot of female singers from the 70s, including Linda Ronstadt, Riley came to the conclusion that it was her mother that inspired how she portrayed Daisy.
