Reese Witherspoon’s Amazon Prime Series Gets Its First Teaser
Executive produced by Reese Witherspoon, Amazon Prime’s upcoming series finally released its first teaser along with a release date. Titled Daisy Jones & The Six, the miniseries is an adaptation of a book of the same name authored by Taylor Jenkins Reid. On Tuesday, the streaming service released the teaser giving its subscribers the first brief look at Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne and Riley Keough as Daisy Jones. What is the upcoming series about? Daisy Jones & The Six Is About A Fictional Band
Set in the 1970s, the series is a fictional story that captures the essence of creativity in the wild, erratic era. The story is a documentary-style series. It comprises background interviews with fictional band members inspired by the book. Daisy Jones & The Six trails the story of two charismatic lead singers Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne. The band had risen from obscurity to fame. However, after a completely sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, the band called it quits.

Now, decades later, the band members have agreed to reveal the real reason they quit. As per ComicBook, the series will tell a fictional tale of how an iconic band went down at the height of its powers. Released in 2019, the novel frames the rise and fall of its titular band around oral history testimonials. After its release, the book won several awards and has sold more than a million copies to date.
Daisy Jones & The Six Amazon Prime Premiere Date
The miniseries comprises a total of 10 episodes and premieres on March 3, 2023, on the streamer. It was announced back in 2018 and is written by Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter. They will also serve as executive producers alongside Lauren Neustadter and Reese Witherspoon.

Camila Morrone and Riley Keough joined the cast in 2019 after which Timothy Olyphant was signed in for a recurring role. The show started filming in late September 2021 and wrapped in May 2022.
Reese Witherspoon Devoured The Book In A Day
Talking about the series’ source, Keough said, “I had no idea what it was. I didn’t Google it or anything and didn’t know it was based on a book. I didn’t know if it was a real band or not. All I know is she goes, ‘it’s Daisy Jones And The Six, and it’s about a band in the ‘70s.’ And in my head, I was like, ‘I know I’m playing Daisy.’ I just knew it.”

Even Witherspoon praised the book stating, “I fell head over heels with Daisy and devoured this in a day.”
