Katy Perry and her fellow judges are back on the set of American Idol. The singing competition has a Las Vegas theme. This makes sense since the pop star had her ever-popular residency in Sin City last year. Katy is reunited with her fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Rich and host Ryan Seacrest.

Katy Perry teases new American Idol season
On Thursday, January 26, Katy Perry shared the poster on her Instagram feed. She was excited about the new season of American Idol, which is said to be bigger than ever. They are ready to find the next Idol. She shared they are going big this year and are betting on so many aspiring singers and musicians.
“American Idol has been making dreams come true for 21 years, you think we’re not gonna go BIG?!” Katy Perry wrote in her Instagram post. “Roll the [dice emoji] with us, the season premiere is Feb. 19 on ABC!”
The dark-haired beauty gave fans “Waking Up in Vegas” vibes with her show-stopping look. Katy was all decked out in the colorful little dress that showed off her cleavage and legs. She wore her signature dark hair up in an elegant updo. Katy pulled the slot machine while the men surrounded her.

However, fans are not impressed with this latest news. They want the follow-up to her previous album, Smile. One fan asked, “WE WANT AN ALBUM,” while another wrote, “Woman post music, we want music.” A third chimed in: “WHERE’S KP6 MOM!?!?”
Katy Perry released her fifth studio album in 2020. It was released around the same time as the birth of her daughter Daisy. She only released several singles from that album. In a previous interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, Katy hinted that she’s writing new music.
