Kristin Chenoweth Finally Talks About Horrific Accident On CBS’ The Good Wife Set
Multi-talented actress and singer Kristen Chenoweth has a new book, I’m Not Philosopher, But I Got Thought, and now she is breaking her silence about an accident that almost took her life.
According to Variety, Chenoweth was recently on Watch What Happens Life With Andy Cohen to promote her book. She opened up about the details of her injury for the very first time. She also shared with Andy Cohen her mindset in the aftermath of her injury.
Back in 2012, Chenoweth was filming The Good Wife during Season 4. “I heard, like a flagpole sound. I literally heard, ‘We’re losing the light.’ I heard, ‘Action.’ And I woke up at Bellevue.”
What landed her in the hospital was a seven-inch skull fracture. A piece of lighting equipment smacked her in the face and she wound up crashing into a curb and smashing her head.
In addition to the skull fracture, she suffered a hairline fracture and cracked rib and teeth. It was a horrific accident!
However, what saved her was a surprising hair accessory.
The Surprising Hair Accessory That Saved Wicked Star’s Life
As horrible as Kristin Chenoweth’s injury was, it was almost worse. What saved her? She claims “My hair extensions saved my life.” While this seems impossible, she explained, “They made the hairline fracture go together.”
The Pushing Daisies stars continued, “My doctor said, ‘What are these metal things’ and I said, ‘They’re hair extensions’ and he said, ‘They saved your life.'”
So anybody who wants to get hair extensions should, for your health.
Kristin Chenoweth’s Biggest Regret
Not only did Kristin Chenoweth suffer a major injury, but she also suffered major regret. She revealed that many people told her to not sue a major network if she ever wanted to work again. But, now she regrets not taking any sort of legal action. Most of all, she regrets not listening to her father.
I didn’t do it out of fear and anxiety, so don’t ever let fear rule your life. I have long-standing injuries from that. I wished I had listened to my dad, who said, ‘You’re gonna wanna do this.’ And we’re not the suing family, but when you’re practically killed…
The Christmas Love Story star never finished her story arch on the CBS show. Most of all, she dealt with a negative mindset after the injury. She suffered from headaches and more, missing work and suffering.
However, she is doing well now and is telling her story. CBS has not yet commented on her story.
