Is Robyn Brown’s Ex-Husband Related To Kody?
Rumors have been making the rounds that Sister Wives star Robyn Brown’s ex-husband David Jessop is related to Kody. Several reports also alleged that David might also be blood-related to Christine and Meri. A family tree is circulating online in several forums including Reddit that suggests that Robyn’s ex-husband is related to all three. So, is there any truth to the rumors? Robyn Brown’s Ex-Husband David’s Mother Isn’t Diane
While Meri Brown and Janelle’s ex-husband Adam Barber are siblings, this might not really be true in David’s case. Popular reality show reviewer and YouTuber, Katie Joy who runs the channel, Without A Crystal Ball, revealed the true details of whether Robyn’s ex is really related to Christine, Kody, and Meri by blood.

In the family tree picture, it is shown that David and Christine are first cousins. However, as revealed by the YouTuber, David’s mother’s name isn’t Diane Allred. On Instagram, she revealed that she spoke to Kristyn Decker who is Christine’s dad’s first cousin and her aunt is Diane Allred Jessop.
David Jessop’s Mother Is Martha Walters Jessop
The caption further elaborated, “Kristyn has an entire book and resources to the family trees and she is also a great historian in her memory. Her Aunt Diane did marry a Jessop. But she never had a child named David Preston. The only cousin that Kristyn has on the Jessop side named David is in his late 50s or 60s she said.”
As per Kristyn, David’s mother is Martha Jessop. She further mentioned that his mom worked at a Pinesdale school and was a librarian there. David’s mom’s maiden name is Walters. So, she is in no way blood-related to Meri, Christine, or Kody Brown.

However, Diane Allred is Martha’s sister wife and both were married to Louis. So, technically, they are within the same family but aren’t related by blood. Further, the post explained that Christine’s mom Annie LeBaron married Rex Allred. They were step-cousins. Additionally, Annie’s mom was also married to Rex’s uncle Owen. So, even though they grew up as cousins, there isn’t any blood relation between Annie and Rex.
Why Did Robyn Brown Divorce David Jessop?
Given how complicated a plural family tree can be, these rumors surfaced relating Kody, Christine, and Meri to Robyn Brown’s ex-husband by blood. Robyn and David got married in 1999 when the reality star was 21 years old. The former couple shares three children, Dayton, Aurora, and Breanna Brown. After 11 years together, they finally divorced in 2009. When asked about what went wrong in the marriage, Robyn Brown revealed that she was badly mistreated and misled by David Jessop.
