Lala Kent Blindsided By Katie Maloney’s Shady Comment?

Lala Kent and Katie Maloney aren’t bosom buddies anymore. They were each other’s partners in crime, especially when they both became single. Lala ended her engagement with Randall Emmett in October 2021 while Katie split from her ex-husband Tom Schwartz in March 2022.

The two explored their newly single lives together on Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules. They became close became they were two of the many single cast members on the show. Katie Maloney was the first to admit the “vibes were off.” A fan asked her about her friendship with Lala Kent on a recent episode of the You’re Gonna Love Me podcast. She reiterated: “Vibes are definitely off.” Lala was blindsided by Katie’s shady comment.

She addressed what her co-star said on the latest episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala. The reality star wasn’t aware that the “vibes were off” between them. She thought their friendship was good. Lala had no idea what Katie meant about it either, but she feels the same way.

“So many people asked about [Katie],” Lala Kent said. “So of course, I was like, ‘Why are people asking this?’ Well, now I know that someone asked Katie this on her podcast, and she said, ‘The vibes are definitely off.’ So I guess the vibes are definitely off.”

Lala’s co-host asked her if she was aware of this. She admitted they argued over their DMs.  Katie wasn’t happy that Lala didn’t wish her happy birthday on Monday, January 16. Even Stassi Schroeder, who strayed from her Vanderpump Rules co-stars, wished Katie a happy birthday on Instagram.

Lala Kent admitted that she’s a busy woman these days. She expressed sentiments during the podcast. The reality star only hopes that Katie had a happy birthday. It just wasn’t on her mind that day.

“Well after the DMs I got from her the other day, not so much. Not so much! I would say a little bit off,” Lala Kent laughed. “But, just like I’ve said before, I got a lot going on. That’s the least of my concern. And I hope she had a very happy birthday.”

The former model admitted that she was only thinking of MLK Day. She didn’t realize it was Katie’s birthday. Lala also explained that her daughter Ocean wasn’t feeling well that day, so her mind was on her daughter. However, some fans would argue that you should post a tribute to your friends, no matter what.
