Lala Kent Talks Her Season 10 ‘Partner In Crime’ Katie Maloney
Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent has a lot going on for Season 10. It just finished filming and this year, it’s a new ballgame. For starters, this is the first time fans will get to see the entrepreneur single. She has always had a man in her life from the time she set foot in SUR in Season 4. Now, viewers will experience single Lala but she is not alone. OG cast member Katie Maloney is also single after filing for divorce from Tom Schwartz in March. Now, Lala is opening up about being single with her dear friend and what fans can expect.
Lala Kent Is Happy She Has A ‘Partner In Crime’
Season 9 was different for a bevy of reasons. Vanderpump Rules had done a complete shift with the firing of Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, two original cast members. They were not the only ones who made an exit. Jax Taylor, also an OG, exited. His wife, Brittany Cartwright, who came in Season 4, also did not return. Both remaining cast members Lala and Scheana Shay were both new moms so there was some focus on this and Katie Maloney trying to conceive.
By the time the reunion was filmed, Lala had called off her engagement to producer Randall Emmett. Then, Katie and Tom split so the two were able to lean on one another. Luckily, Lala and Katie have been truly living it up since the devastating blows, as Kent told People. “We’re having the best time. We’re having the best time. We call each other every morning to talk about what boys we’re talking to, who we think we’re going to give the boot to. We’re just enjoying being single together. I love that I have a little partner in crime.”
As for Season 10, Lala’s ex has prohibited her from having their daughter Ocean on camera. Still, the Give Them Lala founder promises a lot of entertainment. She notes that the cast is not in their early twenties anymore so they are not just letting stuff go so easily. It will be far more dramatic. “And the dynamics, the stakes are so much higher because there’s people getting married, divorced, children involved.”
Getting To Season 10
Lala Kent’s journey to this season was not an easy one. She and Katie did not even get along until the middle of Season 6. As she noted, she had an on-again/off-again boyfriend when she first started in Season 4. Plus, she was hooking up with James Kennedy and having a flirtation with Jax Taylor. By Season 5, she started dating Randall though it was kept very hush-hush. His name was not mentioned until Season 7 and he was not seen until the following year. Now, she and Katie are both going to maneuver single life together as Katie has always been with Tom since the beginning. It will be a new Vanderpump for sure.
