Lisa Marie Presley's Memorial Service Held At Graceland

The family of Lisa Marie Presley has shared with her fans that a memorial service will be held in her honor on Sunday, January 22, at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. This is where she spent the first years of her life. The family (through a family rep) announced that the service would begin at 9:00 a.m. and is open to the public. The event will take place on the front lawn of the mansion.

The late singer passed on on Thursday, January 12, after suffering a cardiac arrest. Lisa fell ill while at her home in California. She lived with her ex-husband, Danny Keough, at the time.

Hours after being rushed to the hospital, Lisa Marie was confirmed dead.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” her mother, Priscilla Presley, confirmed in a statement she shared with People Magazine. She requested fans to accord the family privacy as they deal with the profound loss.

Priscilla’s granddaughter, Riley Keough, told US Weekly that afterward, they will bury her mom next to her only son, Benjamin Keough. Ben was laid to rest at the mansion’s ground in October 2020 following his death. Ben died at the tender age of 27 by suicide.

Graceland property is also where the family laid Lisa Marie’s father, Elvis Presley, to rest in 1977 at the age of 42. Lisa will be buried along with her grandparents, Vernon and Gladys Presley, and Elvis’s grandmother Minnie Mae. Elvis’s twin brother Jesse was also buried at the mansion’s ground. Jesse died at birth.

The rep also shared that Priscilla and her grandchildren were grateful for the support, well-wishes, and love showed to their beloved, Lisa Marie. They encouraged mourners willing to contribute to Lisa’s memory to donate to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation instead. The family requested this in lieu of flowers. The foundation is a non-profit organization that supports charities towards arts, children’s programs, and education in the Memphis, Whitehaven area.

The songstress appeared at the Golden Globes to support Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis and Austin Butler just days before her death.

Lisa Marie Survived By Mom and Daughters

The Tennessee songstress is survived by her mom, Priscilla, and her children. Her eldest daughter Riley is 33. She is the daughter of Lisa Marie and her first husband, Danny Keough. Her 14-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley are from her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood.

Lisa Marie was also an ex-wife of the late King of Pop, Michale Jackson, and actor Nicholas Cage.
