‘Mandalorian’ Season 3 Release Date, Trailer, What To Know
The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer just hit during Monday Night Football. The trailer hit during halftime of the Dallas and Tampa Bay game and was hugely entertaining. Here is a look at The Mandalorian Season 3 release date, the cast lineup, and what you can expect.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Release Date
The Mandalorian will return to Disney+ with its third season on Wednesday, March 1. Unlike shows that premiere on Netflix, the shows on Disney+ air weekly. This works well because it creates water cooler talk surrounding the episodes and what fans might expect from week to week.
The first two seasons had eight episodes each, so if that is true for the new season then this series will air its season finale on April 19.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer
The news on the release date came with a new trailer. This was shown during halftime of the NFL Wildcard Playoff Game between the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since MNF airs on ESPN, it made sense that this would be the trailer premiere. Disney owns ESPN and Disney+, so this was a good cross-promotion for the networks. Since the Cowboys vs. Bucs game was a highly-anticipated one, it was the perfect place to air this.
As for the trailer, it was a hugely popular one. The trailer wasted no time in showing that Mando went back to get The Child once again. Taking him from the Jedi Temple, he even got a “let the Force be with you” blessing. There was also a moment in the trailer that showed a creature backing The Child into a cave, only for the Jedi to blast it out of the entrance before coming out like A Boss.
Reunited.
