He’s gone missing from Good Morning America despite taking a trip during the holiday season. On Friday, January 6, Sam Champion took to Instagram to share a photo of himself drinking out of a mug. He’s enjoyed Brazilian coffee.

“Oh hey! Smaller cups just mean more refills… #fillerup #bringcoffee breakfast.. gym.. then learning how to use the NEW stove/ oven/ washer and dryer in #brazil !! 🧐 busy vacation day,” Sam Champion joked in his Instagram post.

He has to learn how to use the appliances in the South American country. Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts on his vacation. Sam’s ABC7 co-anchor Heather O’Rourke admitted that she missed him the most. His GMA fans echoed similar thoughts.

He had no intentions of thinking about work or the weather. Sam is enjoying his time in the country with his husband Rubem Robierb. The two just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. This is why this trip was important for him to take.

Sam Champion is used to waking up before the crack of dawn for work. His day normally starts with a cup of coffee before heading to the office. Sam prepares behind the scenes with his co-anchors. However, he had a late start to the day on his vacation.

On Sunday, January 8, Sam Champion returned to Instagram to share a photo of himself with Rubem. Both of them were enjoying a cup of coffee. Sam wore a black tank top, while Rubem wore an olive green tank. Sam admitted that they enjoyed some late-night fun, which explains the late start to their day.

“Late night in #rio 🎉 means late start to the day 😁” Sam Champion wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.
