Hyping up American Pickers as it struggles

Mike Wolfe took to Instagram to promote next week’s episode. This comes after it failed to attract millions of viewers. Fans want Frank Fritz back but it’s unlikely to happen with his ongoing health issues. Mike expressed an interest in having his old co-star return.

In the latest Instagram post, Mike teased a special guest. The American Pickers cast will remodel a mobile recording truck. It’s owned by White Stripes frontman Jack White. The show is trying to attract millennials amid the struggling ratings.

Mike shared that he’s “excited” about the upcoming episode. He tried to hype up the show, which will have more celebrities than ever. The 58-year-old shared his thoughts on the new episode.

“Music history being brought back to life with Jack White,” Mike Wolfe wrote in the caption. “Very excited for this episode to drop next week!”

Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Most of them shared that they “can’t wait” for the new episode. Others admitted they lost track of which episode or season of American Pickers. The show lucked out with many appearances from rock legends, but it seems like not many are watching.

Som fans shared they got a major dose of nostalgia from Mike’s Instagram post. The mobile recording studios were also used for Prince’s Purple Rain soundtrack. American Pickers returned on Wednesday, January 4, in a new timeslot. Because of this, the show lost millions of viewers.

Mike Wolfe’s new show is struggling

American Pickers has gone through many changes over the past year. For instance, it keeps changing timeslots. It also tries to attract fans young and old. Per The U.S. Sun, the 24th Season only premiered with 943,000 viewers.

Mike Wolfe is trying his best to get people interested in the show. Even though these ratings are stronger than they were in September 2022,  it’s still down from the January 2022 premiere, which attracted 1,050,000 viewers. Viewers lost interest, leading the ratings to decline.

The August 27th episode attracted 829,000 viewers. The series went on an extended hiatus as the cast filmed the new season. Around the time, Mike Wolfe and his brother Robbie shared that they were back on the road. However, that wasn’t enough to bring the old fanbase back.
