The View Fans Aren’t Ready To Forgive Whoopi Goldberg
Whoopi Goldberg is now on The View fans’ radar after stating that the Holocaust wasn’t originally about race. Regardless of her statement causing the show to lose viewers, the executives are now putting her on a pedestal. During the live taping of the January 4 episode, the audience received instructions to applaud the show hosts. They were specifically asked to applaud Whoopi Goldberg. As per an insider, “The crowd warm-up comedian, Regina DeCicco, specifically told everyone to give a loud applause to Whoopi and then continue clapping for the other hosts.”
The View Crew Wanted Whoopi To Get A Standing Ovation
As reported by The Sun, The moderator was joined on stage by her co-hosts, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. The insider further revealed, “It seemed like the crew wanted Whoopi to get a standing ovation to make her feel like she’s the star of the show.”

Lately, the Sister Act star has been nothing more than trouble for the show makers. However, it seems like they aren’t giving up on her anytime soon. In the past, the staff had tried to make her feel special with an extravagant birthday celebration. The Emmy Award winner was treated with a show of drag queens, big giveaways, and her Whoopi Prosecco.
Fans Want Whoopi Goldberg To Be Permanently Suspended
When enquired if the moderator was being given special treatment, the insider detailed,
“When they went to commercial break, she got touch-ups just as much as the other co-hosts. The only difference is that the camera is on her first after returning from commercials since she’s the moderator. She also carried herself as if she had the authority to talk over the other co-hosts and interrupt them.”

Last year, Whoopi Goldberg was suspended from the ABC show for two weeks citing her hurtful comments about Jewish people and the Holocaust. Fans even demanded that her suspension be made permanent as she didn’t seem to have learned anything from the backlash she received.
