When Will Al Roker Head Back To The ‘Today’ Show?
The Today show’s fan-favorite weatherman will soon resume his hosting duties after a month-long struggle with health complications. Now, the 68-year-old will return to Studio 1A soon. The weathercaster was hospitalized in November after he developed a blood clot in his leg. Soon, he revealed that this sent some clots into his lungs as well. However, after on-and-off hospitalization last month followed by weeks of recovering at home, the host will soon resume his work. When will Al Roker return to the Today show? Al Roker Was Rushed Back To Hospital After Thanksgiving
Al’s recent health issues have forced him to skip the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade that he had been hosting for the past 25 years. However, fortunately, the weather forecaster was able to head back home just in time for the Thanksgiving holidays. While it seemed that Al Roker was back for good, he was rushed to the hospital the very next day for an extended stay in the hospital due to complications. This caused him to miss the lighting ceremony of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.

At the time of his second hospitalization, Hoda Kotb reassured the viewers, and said, “Due to some complications, he is back in the hospital and he is in very good care. He’s resting and his doctors are keeping a close eye on him. Al and his family want everyone to know how grateful they are for all the love, the support, and the well wishes.”
Today Show Team Sing Christmas Carol For Al Roker
After his second hospitalization, Al was able to leave the hospital on December 8. As per The Sun, the Daytime Emmy Award winner also posted a cheerful picture of himself with his family on Instagram. Throughout his health struggles, Al Roker has received a massive outpour of support from his Today co-hosts and fans.

This includes a crowd of Today anchors, producers, and crew that gathered outside his home singing Christmas carols. The gesture was an emotional one for the weathercaster and brought tears to his eyes.
Savannah Guthrie Announces Al Roker’s Return
On Tuesday, Al Roker’s co-host Savannah Guthrie announced that the weatherman will be back on January 6, 2022. She revealed, “We have some great news to share this morning: Al is coming back to the show.”
Hoda Kotb jumped in, “Everyone’s like, ‘When when?’ Well, we have our date. He’ll be here Friday. He’ll be right here in Studio 1A. This is his place. He’ll be in his seat, right where he belongs. I cannot wait for that.”

Craig Melvin also joined in and praised the reunion stating that everyone will be together. Also, Guthrie added that the show has not been the same without Al gushing, “Our sunshine is coming back Friday morning.”
