When will GMA3 return?

According to a new report via The U.S. Sun, GMA3: What You Need to Know is on a short hiatus. The show didn’t air live on Monday, January 2. It will return on Tuesday, January 3. Dr. Jennifer Ashton made her return to GMA on Monday, but she was part of the other segments.

GMA3 typically airs on weekdays at 1 p.m. ET. The show didn’t air on Monday in lieu of the ongoing internal review. Producers took the show off the air due to a scheduling conflict. ABC aired college football in the show’s place.

Viewers watched LSU play against Purdue in the annual Citrus Bowl. This is common for the network to air the game around New Year’s Day. ABC planned this hiatus as they released a statement announcing that GMA3 would be “pre-empted” on Monday, but would return on Tuesday.

The network didn’t reveal whether TJ and Amy will be back. Only Dr. Jennifer Ashton is confirmed to return. She just returned from her trip to Hawaii and Cabo San Lucas. ABC removed the duo from the show just a week after the news of their alleged affair.

The latter two duos have been the top contenders. ABC hasn’t shared who will sit at the anchor desk on Tuesday afternoon. The press release only shared which guests will be on the talk show. Amy and TJ returned from their romantic getaway to Miami, where they were caught making out.
