Jessa has been silent on social media for the past month or so, and it’s unclear why. So far, she hasn’t returned to discuss the fire. The Seewald property goes into flames.
On Dec. 23, 2022, there was a fire on Ben and Jessa Seewald’s property in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The couple purchased the home from Grandma Mary Duggar for $100,000 in 2017.
The Sun obtained the official report of the incident. One section of the report reads:
“A man was walking down the street and had emerged from the shed. The man stated that he had a warming fire inside the shed and it had gotten away from him.”
“Smoke and flames” were visible when the crew arrived to put out the fire. It’s unclear what condition the shed is in now or if it’s completely destoryed. This fire occurred as frigid temperatures hit Arkansas and many other parts of the country right before Christmas.
Note that this was at their old house, which still appears to be owned by them. This year, Jessa and Ben Seewald moved their family of six into a house owned by their church. The Duggar son-in-law is now a pastor. They documented their new home renovations via YouTube.
It’s unclear if anyone besides the homeless man was at the Seewald property at the time of the fire.
Is everyone okay after the fire?
The shed was about 100 feet from Ben and Jessa’s home, but luckily, it didn’t spread that far. Fortunately, everyone is okay and there was no damage to Ben and Jessa Seewald’s old home, according to The Sun. This situation could have ended up much worse, but fans can rest assured knowing that no one was hurt.
